Our journey: An idea that turned into a global mission
We started Beautifully Diverse Fashion because fashion rejected us, and we are building it for everyone else it's rejected too.
We started because we saw a struggle in fashion through many of our experiences, an advertisement that said, "everyone is welcome to participate", but that was not the case, they only had outfits for people of a certain body shape and height.
We got accepted for New York Fashion because of our idea of having a variety of models. People from the community who are just like you and I. We wanted people to share their experiences with people they have never met and to feel accepted, rather than feeling they don't belong in fashion.
About Founder
Frances Helena has grown up learning about the world and what it has to offer. By the time she was ten she already lived in seven different countries across three continents and has now made that ten different countries across four different continents.
She has used this experience to bring people together and allow people to connect with people they are not used to due to their own cultural prejudices. She has used her platform to show that anyone can do this despite their own personal dilemmas which she faces as a hearing-impaired person.
